Aquasur Tech will be held for the second time on March 26 and 27, 2025 at the Dreams Hotel in Punta Arenas. This event, organized by Fisa of the GL events group and co-organized by the Magallanes Salmon Farmers Association, is focused on providing a space for the exchange of needs and solutions between salmon producers and technology solution providers to contribute to the sustainability of the industry.
Francisco Sotomayor, executive director of Fisa, outlined the call. “The instance is designed to involve suppliers, producers, academics and all those interested in sustainable aquaculture that coexists with local development and its prospects,” he said.
“This year we have also decided to convene the green hydrogen and port industry, areas of great importance for Magallanes and for the country. The integration of green hydrogen with aquaculture and the port of Magallanes will not only generate economic benefits for the region, but will also reinforce its commitment to sustainability,” said the executive.
Exhibitors will be able to showcase their solutions or research with representatives of the aquaculture industry, in order to project new business, pilots or adjustments of technologies or services. In the case of salmon producers, they will have access to an agile update of the latest technologies, trends, gaps and knowledge in line with sustainable production and coordinated with the challenges of the Magallanes region.
In this edition there will be an exhibition in which 70 companies will show their products and services for a sustainable industry. Important sponsors have already been confirmed, such as Aqua Chile, Reiblanc, Esmax, Poseidon and Asmar Shipyards, as well as exhibitors such as Eq Transportia, Equipos Industriales, Grupo Nutec, Moleaer, Poseidon Acuicultura, Agf Freezers and Azul Consulting.
On the first day of the event there will be a cocktail reception designed as a networking space aimed at meeting and dialogue, which will bring together all visitors to the event with exhibitors and local authorities to encourage open conversation and the exchange of ideas.
“As in its first version, Aquasur Tech will not only be an exhibition; it will also offer in parallel different instances that add value to the fair, where we highlight the Workshop, a place where entrepreneurs can present their products to potential buyers, and the two ‘Regional Linking’ rooms, a space for talks that will be managed in conjunction with the University of Magallanes,” said Sotomayor.
Workshop
This version will repeat the Workshop, a place where companies will be able to present innovative products and services to decision-makers, who will be present especially to listen to the best proposals in the field.
These decision-makers will be different managers from different areas of the companies in the region, making it an ideal space to present products that will have a direct impact on the development of the industry in the region.
“Regional Linkage” rooms
In collaboration with the Universidad de Magallanes, the event will feature two “Regional Linkage” lounges , where companies will offer talks on applied research and propose solutions from other industries to promote harmonious development in the region.
“Aquasur Tech will be a milestone in the region that will concentrate in two days the latest trends in technologies for sustainability available or under development, nationally and internationally, promoting business tourism in the Magallanes region and particularly in the city of Punta Arenas,” concluded Francisco Sotomayor.
