Aquasur Tech 2025, organized by Fisa of the GL events group, will be held on March 26 and 27 at the Dreams Hotel in Punta Arenas. The event will be the epicenter of innovation and sustainability in aquaculture, bringing together more than 120 exhibitors and delegations from Canada, Mexico, the United States, Brazil and the United Kingdom.

The exhibition and the international congress seek to promote the exchange of knowledge between salmon producers, technology providers, researchers and academics in Magallanes, a region that has established itself as an aquaculture business hub thanks to its strategic location and the presence of key players in the sector. This environment is conducive to the formation of alliances and the development of innovative solutions to strengthen the industry.

“Chile is a world reference in salmon production, being the second largest exporter in the world. However, the sector faces challenges such as climate change and the need for greater sustainability. In this context, Aquasur Tech 2025 is presented as a key event to promote innovation and present technological solutions that drive the sustainable growth of the industry,” said Andrea Buzzetti, manager of Aquasur Tech.

This edition of Aquasur Tech, brings as a novelty the integration of the green hydrogen sector, with the aim of moving towards a more efficient and sustainable aquaculture. “This industry will provide solutions for the decarbonization and modernization of the sector, strengthening its competitiveness at a global level,” added Buzzetti.

More than 45 presentations in eight thematic areas

The international congress, under the slogan “Linking aquaculture with innovation, sustainability, energy solutions and green hydrogen”, will have more than 45 presentations distributed in eight thematic axes, which will address the main challenges and opportunities of the sector.

These axes will be, “Perspectives in health and aquaculture production based on evidence”; “Transformational technologies: algae, AI, food and biosecurity for a green future”; “Innovations for industries with low carbon footprint: green hydrogen and integration for the optimization of regional resources”; “Innovation oriented for sustainable aquaculture”; “Intelligent aquaculture: Quality of information and time to make decisions”; ‘Circular economy and science that support sustainability indicators in aquaculture’; ‘Innovation from the needs of salmon production companies’; ‘Combining innovation, science and technology for efficiency in aquaculture production’.

The thematic blocks or axes will include presentations from various companies and universities. Each presentation will last 15 minutes, where the exhibitors will show how their products, technologies and services contribute to aquaculture and their clients. All this in front of industry executives and authorities.
