BiOceanOr’s mission is to accompany fish farmers in understanding the marine environment and its impact on aquaculture production activities. With a presence in Chile since the end of 2022, BiOceanOr currently collaborates with leading salmon producers such as MOWI and INVERMAR. This year, they have strengthened their proximity with the incorporation of a local representative in Puerto Montt, for a more direct and personalized support to users. Since last November, BiOceanOr’s predictive solutions have been integrated into Innovasea’s Realfish Pro platform. Through this collaboration, dissolved oxygen forecasting is integrated as a new functionality in the Realfish Pro Environmental Monitoring Panel, offering fish farmers advanced tools for decision making and more efficient management of environmental risks. Its solutions are designed to preserve fish health and welfare while optimizing fish growth. Fluctuations in dissolved oxygen have a critical impact on fish; anticipating these variations allows fish farmers to take preventive measures and protect biomass. What are the benefits? Adjusting operations such as feeding or handling according to oxygen levels minimizes risks, improves operational efficiency and ensures the sustainable development of aquaculture.
