Through the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences, the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI), arrives at Aquasur Tech 2025 to present itself as an alternative solution to the problems of different companies, specifically those belonging to the aquaculture industry. This is why, on behalf of the UAI, the fifth year student of double degree in Mechanical and Industrial Civil Engineering, Daniela Guerraty, who is working as principal investigator of the project “Protocol of Characterization of HDPE Pipes for Aquaculture Use”, will be presented. During her presentation, Guerraty will address the potential of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, through its students and researchers, to solve the real problems of the aquaculture industry, which is the third most important nationally. “With our participation we seek to explore the opportunities that one of the largest industries in the country can propose and provide solutions to needs that improve the quality of life of those who live with aquaculture,” explained Giacomo Tomasoni, head of R & D Linkage of the Directorate of Innovation and Transfer UAI, who will also attend the event. Tomasoni will join the conference to generate contacts with the participating companies in order to seek opportunities for collaboration. There are different problems that can be addressed by Research and Development (R&D) components and addressed by UAI’s capabilities. Specifically, students and researchers can perform specialized studies, advanced analysis and development of customized solutions, supported by the research, technology and innovation teams. Through its more than 18 laboratories, UAI can address each challenge from a multidisciplinary perspective, ensuring a comprehensive and accurate analysis, all without holding back industries. Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez is a young university, with just over 35 years since its formation, but over the years it has grown significantly. With a unique educational model in Chile, inspired by Columbia University, it seeks that its students acquire an interdisciplinary vision that provides them with transversal competencies and allows them to integrate into diverse work teams.
